Originally, I thought that I wanted to be a software engineer, spending 3 years of my life with this assumption.
However, after a lackluster backend developer journey, I began to strive for something else. A simple google search of "hard topics in computer science" lead me to learning concurrency.
This rabbit hole lead me to discovering a parallel computing lab at my university, where thankfully I had an environment which channeled my passion.
Overtime, I have learned to embrace what I truly find interesting. For me, I need a career where I'm always learning and doing something new.
Spending time deeply thinking about novel problems, and contributing new knowledge to the world is necessary.
